Thomas Clark

Attorney 

Thomas Clark is native of North Carolina who grew up in Charlotte. He graduated Northside Christian Academy in the Derita area of North Charlotte in 2001. He completed his undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte earning both a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He then went on to earn his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was published in the First Amendment Law Review.

After graduating law school in 2009, Thomas joined the Union County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney where he handled a range of criminal matters including both felonies and misdemeanors. In 2012, Thomas left public service and went to work in private practice handling primarily criminal defense and immigration matters. In 2021 Thomas rejoined the Union County District Attorney’s Office where he primarily focused on prosecuting violent crimes.

Thomas is an experienced trial lawyer, having tried numerous cases in both district and superior courts. In 2026, Thomas joined Leitner, Bragg, and Griffin where he focuses his work on civil litigation and criminal defense.

Thomas serves as an elder at his church in Huntersville and lives with his wife and six children in Indian Trial. When he’s not working, Thomas enjoys building projects, entertaining friends, and spending time with his family.
